The upside of Okinawa Winter Weather

In general, the weather here in the winter is pretty blah.  But when you see something like this out your patio window, it makes up for it!

Whoops! Again, it's been a really long time since we've posted.  We had quite the busy December (as you saw), but it also included a whirlwind trip to the States.  We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's with our family this year.  It was a perfect way to split our time in Okinawa in half.


I can hardly believe that it's Cherry Blossom season again in Okinawa.  This year we photographed the blossoms in our neighborhood (Awase) and at Nakijin-jo castle ruins.

Sunday was the last day of the Cherry Blossom Festival at Nakijin-jo.  We got to see and listen to some local Okinawa music and dance.
