We did it!!!
Well, after months of planning and the pain of cutting out shoes so we can clear 3600 pounds, we managed to have an extremely smooth packout for our first and largest shipment to Okinawa! Ringing in at 3180 lbs (less about 200 lbs of Joe's dental books that won't count against us) we had a little over 600 lbs to spare!
On a side note, Joe was very helpful and supportive over the last few days. I didn't cry (yet) and I didn't even want to keep him in this packing crate!
Let's have a little "Ode to Willow Lake"....... Our first home, filled with wonderful memories and many of my shoes and purses!
At approximately 8 am this morning; we tried to put everything that was going to Okinawa in the family/dining room so the movers wouldn't be confused about what to take. Although it looks like a disaster, I think we did a pretty good job of separating what was going and what wasn't!
It wasn't long before everything was out of the house........
..... and on it's way into the truck!
They finished around 4 pm (perfect timing to see LeBron receive the MVP!); nailed our international crates shut and drove away!
So here we are with a fairly empty house; all in all a pretty good day!
